Chava Alberstein has remained one of Israel's best-known and loved singer-songwriters for almost half a century, and she is still going strong with new albums and shows. Part of her popularity is due to her wide interests in musical styles and contents - including a commitment to social activism in the ''folksong'' tradition. We had the opportunity to tell her about Dugrinet, a Hebrew-Arabic website we started but which is now an independent venture, and she offered to help. It turns out she also paints, and she offered to donate the six paintings illustrating her latest CD. We have converted these into colorful 4 x 6 in. top-fold note cards, and will be happy to send out packets of 8 assorted cards with envelopes, as follows (via air mail):
Contribute $18 - receive one packet of 8
$30 - two packets
$40 - three packets
$50 - four packets and a copy of our booklet of texts and readings for Chanukah, ''Eight Nights, Eight Lights''
