Thanks to a number of foundations and private donors, we offer a varied menu of programs and events designed to bring together local residents from different backgrounds for the exploration of Jewish texts and their relevance to current issues, in a pluralistic setting. Programming is conducted in Hebrew or English, and may for instance include lectures, batei midrash, and holiday workshops.
Since its inception in 2013, we have been a key member in the coalition of organizations that puts on FestivaLimud, an annual themed pluralistic learning day founded by our friend, Rabbi Dubi Avigur.
And since 2015 we have taken part in 929: Tanakh B'yachad, which began as a nationwide project for learning one chapter of Tanakh (Bible) per day, organizing a local 929 study group.
Staff members regularly teach Jewish texts at a variety of venues around the North, including Karmiel, Misgav, Ramat Yishai and more.
If you have an idea for an event, please contact us.
We offer exciting Bar/Bat Mitzva workshops for teens and their parents as well as working with various schools and communities in the Galilee to provide custom-tailored programs, either series or one-time events. For more information, please contact us.
In all our work we advocate collaboration with other agencies, including Misgav Community Center, the Jewish Renewal Unit in Karmiel, Misgav Library, Partnership 2000, the Masorti movement and others.
