Information for school classes, youth groups, synagogues
We invite synagogues, schools, and youth groups to become partners in this important ''tikkun olam'' project.
Support for the circus is a way to get involved with Israel that focuses on young people – and on building democracy and social solidarity in Israeli society. It is not political; it is optimistic; it not only benefits the participants but conveys an important ''yes we can'' message to audiences of all ages.
Ways to involve your community:
Include in your curriculum or programming a unit about Jewish-Arab relations in Israel; for help in planning, look here for some background information and links.
We can send you a poster, a video, and cards with a photo collage of the circus, to help you publicize the project.
If your community has an Israel trip, we can arrange for them to meet the circus kids and/or attend a performance or workshop.
For a direct contribution of any amount, receive a thank-you photo poster.
For a contribution over $1,000, receive a personalized video of the circus kids performing, and thanking you, to show at your school tzedaka assembly or youth group program.
We'd be happy to help you develop a customized program – classroom or youth group activities – on Arab-Jewish relations in Israel, to put the Galilee Circus in context and to help your community understand why it exists – and why it is important for it to exist.
